Snap-on’s new MODIS-Standard diagnostic platform sets the bar for high-end value, offering the same great Snap-on color graphing scan tool, 4-channel lab scope with glitch capture, graphing meter, Fast-Track Troubleshooter and expert information that the original MODIS-Elite is famous for, but at a lower price.

“With MODIS-Standard, Snap-on is making it easier than ever for up-and-coming technicians to own a high-end multifunction diagnostic tool that allows them to pinpoint faults and diagnose today’s sophisticated vehicles faster,” said Mark Schaefer, director of marketing. “Plus, with many optional features, MODIS-Standard is expandable, so it can grow with techs, based on their diagnostic needs.”

MODIS-Standard incorporates advanced on-board diagnostic capabilities including scanner adapters for all 1996 and newer domestic and Asian vehicles. A Component Test Meter database provides more than two million component test procedures and instructions, plus more than one million vehicle Troubleshooter tips and time-savers are included with MODIS-Standard.

An optional MODIS-Elite kit is available for MODIS-Standard that includes scanner adapters for vehicles back to 1980, RPM pickup and secondary ignition scope adapters. European vehicle coverage, heavy-duty coverage and 5-gas analyzer are also add-on options.
