With GYR's 'Back End,' Pro-Cut Creates System for Warranty Brake Job Validation

May 5, 2011

The Pro-Cut GYR provides user-friendly, secure summary data for OEMs, chains and independent repair shops while simultaneously providing the best brake job possible for the end customer.

The patented lathe system determines when rotors are being cut and takes data automatically. The results are reported in real-time with little technician input, and can be used for warranty brake job validation. Reports can be generated in any standard data/text format including html, excel, PDF or plain text files.

The GYR also serves as an essential management tool. Summary data may be used to show equipment utilization rates, calculate return on investment, and for predictive service and consumable use rate determination. Pro-Cut also expects to be able to spot service trends for a particular year, make and model.

“The GYR ‘back end’ is truly an industry innovation, and we’re excited about its numerous practical applications. This kind of detailed and long-term data has never before been available or collected,” says Chris Greenwald, chief technical officer.
