Relay Buddy checks the control side of the relay by applying a signal to the relay coil while it checks for proper functioning of the relay contacts. Relay Buddy cycles the relay several times while loading the contacts to detect any excessive resistance. It watches for consistency in every test cycle. Relay Buddy will fail the relay and illuminate the red LED if any of the cycles proves unsuccessful during the test session. The test process is rather simple: Just remove the relay from the vehicle, plug it into the Relay Buddy and press the “test” button.
