A new large format recommended Commercial Wheel Torque Specification Chart is available free from Myers Tire Supply.

The 23x17-inch chart covers torque recommendations for hub and stud piloted wheels and demountable rims. Also included are oiling recommendations and service suggestions.

Myers said the charts are designed to be hung prominently in the service area to remind technicians of proper wheel torque processes to help prevent premature tread wear or even potential wheel off situations.

The chart also outlines the TIA R.I.S.T. program – Remove debris from mating surfaces; Inspect components; Snug the lug nuts in a star pattern; and Torque them to specification.
