Tenneco Inc. has introduced the Walker Ultra EX converter, featuring an extra-high-load direct-fit catalyst technology engineered to help repair shops solve emission control challenges on vehicles with highly sensitive OBD II calibration.
These new converters, which are available as a super-premium option alongside the existing Walker Ultra units for select applications, are designed to help vehicle repair shops reduce their reliance on more expensive original equipment converters sourced through vehicle dealerships.
“Many repair providers are looking for an option that will allow them to avoid a high OE dealership price when repairing vehicles that are known to experience higher comeback rates on emission service,” said Steve Myers, emission control engineering director, North American Aftermarket, Tenneco. “Our new Ultra EX converters leverage the insight gained through our global OE emission control business to provide the extra margin of efficiency some shops may prefer for these applications.”
The Walker Ultra EX offering includes 15 direct-fit converters that cover key Acura, Buick, Chevrolet, Honda, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Subaru, Toyota and Volkswagen models.
