European Friction Industries (EFI) and
NUCAP Industries recently announced that EFI has been approved for a NRS
license. The deal provides EFI with a license to internally process NUCAP’s NRS
mechanical friction attachment technology on their range of self-manufactured
brake backing plates for of automotive, motorcycle, truck, bus, industrial and
railway friction products. NUCAP
said this will help EFI
streamline their internal manufacturing processes and further improve the
quality and durability of its products.
"The NRS license is a result of our
constant quest for quality improvements", said Andy Freeman, chairman and
CEO of EFI. "Our agreement with NUCAP gives us access to the leading
solution for brake friction attachment which will allow us to further enhance
our product quality and extend the market share for our EBC Brakes brand of
automotive and motorcycle brakes."
"EFI’s products, processes and culture
provides an ideal fit for the NRS technology.
We are pleased to strengthen our relationship with the EFI team and are
happy to add them to the NRS family", said Ray Arbesman, chairman and CEO
