A gathering of industry professionals and media assembled March 14, 2018, in beautiful Miami, Florida, to check out what’s new from Apex Tool Group, and it didn’t disappoint!

Bill Bliss, manager of marketing communications with Apex Tool Group, organized this event to provide a glimpse into 2018 and beyond. New products from GearWrench were showcased, including an electronic torque wrench with angle and an X-Core pinless universal socket platform, along with new products from Crescent, Crescent/Wiss and Crescent/H.K. Porter, which highlighted new PowerPivot bolt cutters, grip zone single ring shears, a quick-adjusting pipe wrench, indexing hammer and much more. It was an amazing display of quality tools.

“The Apex Tool Group 2018 Media Event had several purposes: To showcase the major changes that happened to the GearWrench and Crescent brands in 2017, to introduce some of the new products that are planned for 2018, and to show the path those brands will be taking in 2018 and beyond,” said Curt Weber, senior director, brand management. “We also wanted to give attendees a greater understanding of Apex Tool Group itself … providing insight about its worldwide brands, businesses and markets.”

“2017 was a year of tremendous change for two of our most important brands: GearWrench and Crescent,” added Weber. “Each brand underwent a major transformation that resulted in greater brand strength and built a solid foundation for future growth. We wanted to tell their stories.”

GearWrench’s full line of ratchets, ratcheting and non-ratcheting wrenches, sockets, drivers, pliers and specialty tools were on full display and there was a buzz in the air about the quality of these products.

Crescent is known for such a dazzling variety of quality tools it can sometimes boggle the mind how much they offer. For over 100 years, they have been bringing superb hand tools to the market. Their 8” pass-thru adjustable wrench set is a sweet setup!

We were also able to check out the latest in soldering technology from Weller, eye-popping stuff that shows you that when innovation, technology and expertise all collide, you end up with a pretty amazing set of products. We were also impressed with a display put on by Cleco, who showed us an impressive lineup of assembly tools and more.

This event was a fantastic display of tools and new technology. It’s very apparent that Apex Tool Group is prepared to offer the very best lineup of tools for consumers and professionals alike.
