Chicago Pneumatic, in response to user demand and market trends for smaller, lighter tools, will unveil its most compact and lightweight air tools for the automotive aftermarket at SEMA 2015. The compact range is ideal for use inside the vehicle and engine compartment where tight spaces restrict the movement of conventional tools.
Visitors to the booth (10104) will be able to experience the compact size and powerful force the new tools have to offer. In addition on stand will also be a new composite angle grinder range, impact wrenches for heavy vehicle tire changing and an updated range of shop equipment products including wheel dollies and workshop presses.
“We are returning to SEMA with products tailor made for the vehicle service industry, building on our pedigree of powerful performance with rugged reliability,” says Luis Clement, Chicago Pneumatic Tools vice president. “Our compact products will allow users to get powerful performance to whatever part of the vehicle needs it, regardless of space and maneuverability.”
New at SEMA will be the CP7711/21 butterfly ultra-compact 1/4” and 3/8” wrenches, just 5.50” long and 1.96” high, bringing a maximum torque of 80 ft.-lbs. (110 Nm) in a 1.16-lb. package. Ideal for use on small vehicle applications such as oil pans, seat bolts and body panels, the butterfly ultra-compact wrench is also suitable for motorcycle repair and maintenance.
The CP7727/37, 3/8” and 1/2”angle impact wrench offers a more powerful, durable and compact solution to current market alternatives for engine repair, providing up to 220 ft.-lbs. (300 Nm) of torque with a length of just 9.1” long. Concluding the compact range is the CP7732 1/2” stubby impact wrench that uses its new design and ergonomics to provide greater comfort to the user. The new CP7732 is 23% lighter than other comparable impact wrenches, while still providing up to 460 ft.-lbs. (625 Nm) of torque for the user. The next generation of stubby impact wrench is ideal for general vehicle maintenance use across all size vehicles.
In addition, Chicago Pneumatic is also unveiling its new CP75 series of composite angle grinders, the most powerful on the market delivering, 1.1HP (840W) enabling users to complete their job quicker and more efficiently. Capitalizing on the success of its industrial material removal range, Chicago Pneumatic’s first composite grinder for the vehicle service aftermarket offers both grinding and cutting capabilities. The CP75 series is ideal for body panel cutting, weld seem removal and surface preparation.
Providing increased power to the garage, is the CP7763D series of 3/4” and 1” straight impact wrenches. Ideal for tire changing applications and general maintenance, the series has a high power to weight ratio allowing for prolonged use with a lighter tool. The CP7763D utilises 1300 ft.-lbs. (1,760 Nm) of torque, 10% more power than its predecessor, and weighs only 11.6 lbs. Thanks to its straight design, the CP7763D series provides more power than pistol versions, with increased ergonomics, balance and efficiency.
Also upgrading its existing workshop equipment range, Chicago Pneumatic has introduced two new wheel dollies for heavy vehicle tire changing, designed to be safe and easy to use while providing easy access to wheel bolts. Two new workshop presses will also be launched at SEMA bringing 75 to 100 tons of pressure to the workshop, allowing users to bend and form metal to the desired shape and size.
