GearWrench has announced its new 120XP Universal Spline XL Ratcheting Wrenches.

The new ratcheting wrenches feature 120 positions for every full rotation and a swing arc of as little as 3 degrees. The new 120XP Ratcheting Wrenches from GearWrench deliver unparalleled access, allowing them to turn hard-to-reach fasteners in confined areas. Available in SAE and metric sizes, end users can choose from three styles, including:

• XL Combination Wrenches from 6 mm to 19 mm, and 7/32″ to 3/4″

• XL Flex-Head Combination Wrenches from 8 mm to 19 mm and 1/4″ to 3/4″

• XL Flex-Head GearBox Wrenches from 8 mm to 19 mm and 1/4″ to 3/4″

“GearWrench revolutionized the ratchet category with the introduction of the 120XP Ratchet. Now, we are bringing the benefits of the 3-degree swing arc to our popular ratcheting wrenches,” said Jim Stewart, product manager for GearWrench. “Automotive technicians will be able to work in very limited spaces easily and efficiently due to the extra length and 3-degree swing.”

Unprecedented Access
The unique ratcheting mechanism makes it easier than ever for automotive technicians to reach fasteners in restricted areas. 120XP Universal Spline XL Ratcheting Wrenches have double-stacked pawls to produce the 120 positions and 3-degree swing arc.

The 120XP Universal Spline XL Ratcheting Wrenches also feature a new beam design. The beam is up to 25% longer, which gives more reach and access in confined areas. The open end is narrower and both ends have reduced outside dimensions, making this tool a must-have for working on fasteners in cramped and obstructed locations.

Flexibility and Versatility
The new XL Flex-Head GearBox Wrenches have a zero-degree offset static end, which helps with recessed fasteners and breaking fasteners free, while the flex head end helps remove fasteners. The 120XP Universal Spline XL Ratcheting Wrenches are versatile; technicians only need one tool to work on several different style fasteners.

Speed
Dual Direction Surface Drive on the open end provides better grip and reduces fastener rounding. Box ends feature Universal Spline Drive, which fits several different commonly encountered fasteners including: spline, 12-point, 6-point, e-torx, square and rounded 6-point. Both sides of each wrench have highly visible, recessed color size markings to help technicians easily identify the correct wrench to get jobs done quickly.

Strength
All 120XP Universal Spline XL Ratcheting Wrenches exceed ASME performance requirements.

“GearWrench launched the original 5-degree ratcheting wrench in 1997, significantly improving end user productivity,” said Stewart. “We’re upping our game by not only bringing the three-degree swing arc to our wrenches, but also improving the design of the wrench itself in response to what technicians tell us they want from their tools, which is improved access.”

For organized storage, the new 120XP Ratcheting Wrench sets come with an easy-grab V-rack. Resistant to gas and solvents, the rack’s compact design takes up less space in a drawer or box. Wrenches sit in angled tray slots, providing a neat fit in a 2-inch drawer.

120XP Universal Spline XL Ratcheting Wrenches will be available for purchase late summer.
