Streamlight Inc. introduced a new intrinsically safe light, the 2AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO. The new alkaline-battery powered light, which features brighter C4 LED technology, is suitable for use in Division 1 hazardous locations faced by many industrial technicians and other professionals.
“Industrial workers rely on their flashlights to be able to perform their jobs safely no matter what the environment, including those that are potentially dangerous,” said Michael Dineen, Streamlight vice president, sales and marketing. “This latest addition to our line of Division 1-rated products is designed for customers who are looking for even higher safe performance from their lighting tools.”
In addition to its safety features, the 2AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO delivers brightness and run time for a variety of tasks. It provides 65 lumens, 2,300-candela peak beam intensity and a 96-meter beam distance, while offering a run time of 24 hours to 10% of its initial lumen output.
The 2AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO features a smooth parabolic reflector that produces a tight beam, while also optimizing peripheral illumination. The light, which is powered by two, easily sourced 1.5V AA alkaline batteries, offers a push-button tail switch for momentary or constant on operation.
The new light also is extremely durable, featuring both an impact-resistant engineering polymer body and face cap, and an unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a scratch-resistant coating. Its C4 LED is impervious to shock with a 50,000-hour lifetime.
The 2AA ProPolymer HAZ-LO weighs 3.6 ounces, and measures 6.4 inches. It is IPX7 rated for waterproof operation to 1 meter for 30 minutes, and is also impact resistance tested to 1 meter.
The light is available in Yellow or Black. It comes with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
