Andrew Ranger Wins at Toronto on Performance Friction Discs and Pads

Andrew Ranger added his name to the long list of July race winners running Performance Friction by capturing the checkered flag at Toronto in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Ranger knew in order to clench his 18th career victory he couldn’t compromise when it came to his brake package. Ranger was running PFC discs and pads when he crossed the finish line 1.074 seconds in front of 2nd place, Jason Bowles. “I’m really happy to be on the podium again like that in first position,” said Andrew Ranger. “We came here with the goal to win and it’s what happened.”

Andrew, a 2-time NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Champion qualified on the outside front row and took the lead on lap 12. After taking the lead he stretched the margin between himself and 2nd place to just over 3 seconds before a late race caution came out on lap 31. On the restart Ranger was able to hold off series point leader Scott Steckly to win his second race in a row on the Toronto street course. “(David Jacob) prepared me a really good car this weekend and to have PVH on board and Dodge to do those two events in Ontario and Quebec, I’m so happy just to be here on the podium first. It’s just something that’s unbelievable,” Ranger says.

Some say that PFC is the best kept secret in the industry, but Performance Friction brakes are no secret to the champions. Carbon Metallic race pads win more championships and are used by more professional racers than all other pads combined and their disc technology is second to none, machined with the most advanced disc machining equipment in the world. Andrew and other NASCAR champions know that if you want to win, run PFC.

Ranger’s dominance as a road racing driver has propelled him into victory lane countless times. In fact, Ranger won the ARCA race at New Jersey Motorsports Park earlier this year and finished in 6th place at the recent NASCAR Nationwide race at Road America. In 2011, he is running a select schedule in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, Nationwide Series and K&N Pro Series East among others. You can catch Andrew Ranger competing in the Nationwide Series this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
