For those times when mechanically fixing a blown head gasket or cracked block would cost more than the vehicle is worth, or when your customer just can’t afford the work, Bar’s Leaks introduces its new professional HG-3 Head Gasket Repair Kit.

Bar’s Leaks Professional DiFM HG-3 Head Gasket Repair Kit was designed specifically for professional vehicle repair technicians. Its patent-pending three-step process is a complete head gasket set solution to permanently seal cracked cylinder heads, blown head gaskets, intake gasket leaks, all block leaks and other severe coolant leaks. It works on all gasoline and diesel engines (including the Cadillac Northstar), cast iron or aluminum blocks and heads, multi-layer steel gaskets, copper head gaskets and composite head gaskets.

"Our new Head Gasket Repair Kit is, without a doubt, the best professional strength head gasket and block sealant product money can buy," says Clay Parks, Bar’s Leaks vice president of development. "We are so confident in its performance that not only do we guarantee it will work, we back up that guarantee with the industry’s only three-month, 3,000-mile limited warranty."

Bar’s Leaks Head Gasket Repair Kit consists of three products that are used in order. The entire process takes about an hour, plus cooling time.

Step 1: Cooling System Prep & Cleaner cleans the entire cooling system, including the damaged area where contaminants have entered the system. A clean cooling system is the foundation for maintaining the proper temperature control necessary to promote the adhesion and longevity of the seal. This step eliminates the need to purchase a separate flush agent. And because it contains no acid, neutralizing is not required.

Step 2: Head Gasket & Block Sealant penetrates any cracks, as well as the damaged or blown head gasket area, and then hardens into a permanent seal that is stronger than the original head gasket itself. This heavy-duty formula stops both small and large leaks using a variety of chemical components, including aramid, refractory and carbon fibers that work together to keep the seal in place, like rebar in concrete.

Step 3: Head Gasket & Block Treatment is added with new antifreeze. It protects and conditions all parts of the cooling system, maintains the new seal, and prevents future leaks. Head Gasket & Block Treatment is compatible with all types of antifreeze.

Bar’s Leaks offers other head gasket repair products, but this is the only complete kit designed specifically for professional installers. It is the strongest formulation available.

"Bar’s Leaks Professional DiFM HG-3 Head Gasket Repair Kit gives installers another tool they can use to help their customers extend their vehicles’ useful lives," says Parks. "A blown head gasket no longer has to mean choosing between a costly repair or a trip to the junkyard. Now customers who can’t afford a traditional repair can count on their technicians to give them a reliable alternative."

The kits contain one 32 oz. bottle of each of the products. Each kit treats cooling systems from 2.5 gallons to 5.5 gallons. All components of the Bar’s Leaks Professional DiFM HG-3 Head Gasket Repair Kit are made in the USA. Directions are included in both English and Spanish.
