Bosch Diagnostics announces an important diagnostic software release for the MTS 3100 Mastertech; ScanTest Software version 8.2. Carrying on the legacy from the former Vetronix, ScanTest Software for the MTS 3100 is an integral part of the company’s dedication to excellence, and to supplying ongoing support for this cornerstone product. The MTS3100 Mastertech is noted for excellent scan tool software coverage for General Motors, Ford and Chrysler vehicles as well as Toyota, Honda, Nissan and other vehicle makes.
With this release, the Bosch MTS 3100 Mastertech is the first aftermarket multi-function scan tool to support OEM-level Ford output controls on CAN protocol systems. Bosch is a leader in this technology, and has changed the order of protocol initialization. With more CAN vehicles on the road, we now attempt CAN protocol initialization earlier in the auto-protocol detection process.
Also in this v.8.2 release is all-new Module Status support for Mazda for model year 1996 and later vehicles. And in an ongoing effort to increase shop efficiency and productivity, Bosch engineers have found a way to speed up the MTS3100 Vehicle Auto ID process even more. On average, the Auto ID process for GM vehicles is now 50% faster. For Ford vehicles, the process is now an average 66% faster. This means that GM and Ford vehicles can be identified in about 20 seconds!
Bosch has always been a leader in diagnostic software by giving shops the tools they need to compete in today’s increasingly competitive environment, and the MTS 3100 ScanTest Software v.8.2 release is just another way that Bosch is keeping that commitment.
