Centric Parts, a leading manufacturer and supplier of aftermarket brake components and systems for import and domestic cars as well as light and medium trucks in all driving situations, has once again been awarded an FMSI Award for contributions to the automotive industry. This is the ninth consecutive FMSI Award for Centric Parts … an unbroken streak that stretches back to the award’s inception.

Centric received two awards this year. The first was for New Assignments & Applications, and the other was for helping the industry reach a significant milestone – Centric was responsible for identifying the 1,000th unique brake shoe reference in the FMSI system.

The Friction Materials Standards Institute, the organization behind the FMSI Award, was founded in 1948 to maintain a standardized part numbering system used by the automotive aftermarket friction industry, and to disseminate to its members scientific, engineering, technological, statistical and other relevant information. The FMSI Award program was started nine years ago to recognize companies that excel in actively contributing information and research to support the system. Centric Parts has been identified as an industry leader every time.

“We are grateful for these latest honors,” stated Dan Lelchuk, president of Centric Parts. “This continual recognition is a testament to the hard work our team does year after year to provide new information that benefits the entire industry.”

Centric Parts, which includes the PosiQuiet, StopTech and Power Slot brands, continually innovates significant improvements to brake technology for the street and track, having earned five patents along the way, providing superior performance, quality and value. Founded in 2000, this Southern California today employs more than 500 people and operates multiple warehouse and manufacturing facilities totaling over half-a-million square feet.
