The US and Canada truck aftermarket in this day and age usually just replaces alternator removals with whole units. But there are still certain channels in the aftermarket that want to repair the alternator units.

In the heavy-duty Mexico and South America aftermarket it is especially important that these service parts are available because this repair is a very common practice.

“It is very important that genuine Delco Remy parts are used to support the repair job and the durability and performance of the unit,” said Tim Barnes, aftermarket product manager.

Service parts now available for purchase to repair your 24SI alternator are:

  • DE frame with bearing;
  • Stator;
  • Rotor with pressed bearing;
  • SRE frame;
  • Brush assembly;
  • Rectifier assembly;
  • Regulator;
  • DE bearing;
  • SRE rotor bearing; and
  • Misc. hardware package.

Service parts for both the 24SI Hinge Mount and 24SI PAD Mount are available. To find a complete part number reference table, go to http://www.delcoremy.com/Alt24SI.aspx.
