The NASCAR Sprint Cup “Race Before the Chase” will have a new sponsor this season. Now called the Federated Auto Parts 400, the “Chase” will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Richmond International Raceway and will be televised nationally on ABC.

“We are very pleased to partner with NASCAR and the Richmond International Raceway as the primary sponsor for this pivotal Sprint Cup race,” said J.R. Bishop, director of racing and event marketing for Federated. “All eyes will be on the Federated Auto Parts 400 this September to see which drivers will be in the NASCAR Sprint Cup ‘Chase.’ In addition to exciting racing, we are planning a fun-filled weekend of hospitality events for our members and their customers, so we know the Federated 400 will be memorable for all involved.”

The Federated Auto Parts 400 will run under the lights at the Richmond International Raceway with a planned start time of 7 p.m. EST. Several hundred Federated members will be on-hand for race weekend and will get to see Federated spokesperson and NASCAR legend Kenny Schrader drive the Federated Auto Parts Sprint Cup car in the race.

“The NASCAR Sprint Cup series is the premiere racing series in the country and we know our members and customers will enjoy being a part of this thrilling motorsports event,” continued Bishop. “All we need now is for Kenny Schrader to cross the finish line first, driving the Federated car in the Federated 400, and it will be the perfect race weekend.”
