Fidanza has introduced a lightweight aluminum flywheel for the highly acclaimed 2006-2007 Honda Civic 1.8L.
The new Civic, featuring more standard horsepower than ever before, has been lauded by Kelly Blue Book and MotorWeek, in addition to receiving Motor Trend’s highly coveted "Car of the Year" award in 2006.
However, Fidanza is reminding owners that Honda’s celebrated sport compact can produce even better results.
"By replacing the original flywheel with a lightweight Fidanza aluminum flywheel, Civic owners will experience better acceleration and increased horsepower to the wheels," said Bob Scheid, vice president, Fidanza.
According to Scheid, adding a Fidanza flywheel will allow for a sharper, crisper throttle response as well as easier downshifting because each tap of the throttle instantly brings the RPM to the precise point where the gearbox easily slides into place.
Fidanza’s 2006-2007 Honda Civic flywheel (part #191181) is made from high-quality machined 6061 T6 aluminum. It features a 1050 steel friction surface with CNC machined fastener holes and chamfers. It can be paired with just about any clutch disc material available – from organic to Kevlar and even sintered iron.
Incredibly durable, the product is finished with a heat-treated ring gear and military grade fasteners.
"For more than two decades, enthusiasts have embraced the Civic, modifying the car for better performance.
Fidanza continues to help them achieve their goals by offering high-quality, affordable and durable performance parts," Scheid said.
