To address the two most common complaints associated with a vehicle’s braking system – dirty wheels and noisy stops – Honeywell’s Bendix Brakes unit offers the Bendix CT-3 ceramic friction brake pad line.
Originally launched in 2003, Bendix CT-3 brake pads offer smooth braking, fade-resistant performance and low rotor wear and feature a unique formula that combines ceramic technology and organic friction to virtually eliminate noise and greatly reduce dusting. Now, Bendix CT-3 brake pads have been reformulated using a unique blend of premium raw materials to meet the demands of medium and heavy vehicle applications while also offering improved performance on lightweight vehicle applications.
To help resolve motorists’ top braking complaint noise the enhanced Bendix CT-3 brake pads feature an optimum combination of premium raw materials to help control noise, vibration and harshness. The pads are 100% shimmed with thermally-bonded rubber-coated insulators that include a noise dampening system to absorb more noise than conventional insulators. Angled chamfers and slots are added for superior noise abatement.
The CT-3 pads offer improved durability for longer pad life compared to most aftermarket ceramics. With integrally molded pads that utilize advanced mechanical attachments to bond friction to steel on most models, the pads feature an added measure of protection against edge lift caused by torque, heat and other extreme elements.
The pads are specifically engineered to reduce rotor wear and the resulting dust for cleaner looking wheels. In addition, superior performance will be evident in the shorter braking distances, smoother stops and confident pedal feel.
