Ingersoll Rand, a global
leader in professional tools and equipment, is adding new ratchets to its
evolving IQV20 Series cordless line. The
Ingersoll Rand R3130 3/8ʺ and R3150 1/2ʺ 20V cordless ratchet wrenches provide the
power, portability and access users need for tight access jobs. These ratchets
are ideal for engine repairs, under-car work, and light industrial maintenance,
repair and operations (MRO) applications.
The Ingersoll Rand R3130 and R3150 ratchets are in a
class of their own, as competitive cordless ratchets are lower voltage and
deliver much less power. The cordless ratchets deliver 54 ft-lb of torque to
complete automotive and industrial equipment repairs quickly. The R3100 Series
ratchets are manufactured with the same durable heads as Ingersoll Rand air-powered
ratchets, which are proven to stand up to tough bolts. In addition, the
patent-pending metal and composite housing and all-metal gear train help the
tool survive repeated drops on garage or plant floors.
The compact 20V lithium-ion battery gives technicians
freedom from air lines and the versatility to use this tool anywhere.
“In most service bays, there are two air lines — one
on each side of the car,” said Steve Jenson, global portfolio manager –
cordless tools, Ingersoll Rand. “A technician will typically hook up two to
five different tools during the course of a job. Using a R3100 Series cordless
ratchet allows the technician to complete the job more efficiently with less
time wasted connecting and disconnecting tools from the air line.”
The new R3100 Series ratchets are replacing the
preceding R380 models. The R3100 Series ratchets have a unique slim-line design
to easily access narrow spaces.
“We designed the R3100 Series ratchets with a unique
in-line battery design,” Jenson said. “The battery pack sits behind the palm of
your hand and the ratchet can fit into the same spots as your arm.”
Ingersoll Rand made significant improvements to the
cordless battery platform as a result of technical advances.
Technological advances also enabled Ingersoll Rand to
make significant improvements to the cordless battery platform. The intelligent
battery management system provides power-level and flow-rate control from the
battery to the switch to the motor. The 20V lithium-ion battery delivers a high
charge capacity and low internal impedance for maximum power and extended
runtime.
The R3100 Series tool kits come with the option of one
or two 1.5 Ah battery pack(s) that is (are) interchangeable with most IQV20 Series
tools. The IQV20 Series line currently includes the W7150 1/2ʺ High-Torque Cordless Impact Wrench, W5130 3/8ʺ
Mid-Torque Cordless Impact Wrench and L5110 LED
Cordless Task Light.
