Innovative Products of America (IPA) announces the #9107B Electric Brake Force Meter with Dynamic Load Simulation and Circuit Testing (3rd Gen). The patented, all-in-one tester accurately simulates trailer light and electric brake loads to test modern vehicles with integrated trailer brake controllers. It can verify if a vehicle’s trailering circuits are properly functioning by quickly troubleshooting truck-side tow circuits and verifying trailer brake output gain on newer year model vehicles from all major manufacturers like Ford, GM, Dodge, Toyota, Chevrolet, Jeep, Nissan and more.
“The Electric Brake Force Meter is a complete, professional solution for anyone servicing SUVs, RVs and pick-up trucks,” says Ian Vinci, president of IPA. “The 9107B incorporates updates to keep in step with changing parameters of current model year vehicles.”
Designed for 7-spade equipped vehicles, the tool automatically recognizes the electronic signature of both integrated (ITBC) and aftermarket trailer brake controllers. It simulates a trailer load and displays real-time, brake-controller output gain and application timing. In addition to the electric brake monitoring, the #9107B is ideal for troubleshooting all truck-side tow circuits, e.g., tail lights, turn signals, 12V+, reverse and ground condition, etc. The 25-ft. cable allows one-man, in-cab testing and is easily stowed inside the provided soft nylon case.
