KYB America LLC, a supplier of OE and aftermarket shocks and struts, has specially engineered its GR-2 shocks and struts to help restore vehicle control and handling to the way the manufacturer originally intended. In older vehicles, especially those with 50,000 miles or more, a standard replacement shock or strut may not be enough to deliver original equipment product quality and restore the original performance. That’s why KYB has recalibrated the GR-2’s damping rate (boost) to compensate for worn suspension components. No other replacement shock or strut can make this claim.
KYB GR-2 shocks and struts are available for virtually all domestic and import cars, light trucks and SUVs.
Ride Control Maintenance Note:
Most experts agree that the performance of the average shock or strut at 50,000 miles usually degrades enough to warrant replacement and that automotive technicians should suggest a shock or strut replacement to restore the vehicle performance. Since all vehicles do not wear the same, several steps can be taken to help determine an appropriate shock and strut maintenance schedule. These include an annual inspection (or every 12,000 miles) along with a good road test. Consulting the owner’s manual can also help define normal and severe service operations for a particular vehicle.
