Milwaukee Tool unveils the next generation of grinders with their newest M18 FUEL 4-1/2-in. / 5-in. Grinders — available with paddle switch, no-lock and slide switch, lock-on options. Designed for the toughest grinding and cutting applications, the new grinders generate 11A corded power and deliver 135 cuts per charge in 1/2-in. rebar*.
True to all M18 FUEL solutions, the new M18 FUEL 4-1/2-in. / 5-in. Grinders combine three exclusive innovations — the POWERSTATE brushless motor, REDLITHIUM battery pack and REDLINK PLUS intelligence.
The POWERSTATE Brushless Motor provides maximum sustained power and 8,500 RPM, allowing users to complete the toughest grinding and cutting applications and push cordless grinders harder than ever before. REDLINK PLUS Intelligence ensures unmatched levels of performance, protection and compatibility, the company said. When equipped a REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT XC 6.0 Battery, which delivers 50% more power and runs 50% cooler than standard XC REDLITHIUM Batteries, the grinders allow users to get more done on a single charge.
For ease of use, the grinders feature tool-free adjustable guards and accessory changes to provide quick guard installations and adjustments. FIXTEC Nut technology allows for tool-free accessory changes while remaining compatible with the most common accessories on the market today.
The new M18 FUEL Grinders are fully compatible with the entire M18 line, now offering more than 200 power tool solutions.
The M18 FUEL 4-1/2-in. / 5-in. Grinders will be available May 2021, followed by the M18 FUEL 4-1/2-in. / 5-in. Braking Grinders w/ ONE-KEY available Summer 2021. The new braking grinders will deliver all the same performance upgrades as the 4-1/2-in. / 5-in. Grinders with an added RAPIDSTOP Brake to enhance safety.
