“OnDemand Live allows users to embed tips directly into our OEM information,” said Gary Hixson, product manager. “Once posted, the tips appear immediately in the product area and become instantly available to the entire community of OnDemand5.com subscribers. Users may view every tip in the OnDemand5.com community, create new tips and add to existing tips.”
According to the company, OnDemand Live allows technicians to share and benefit from their collective experience. It is designed to increase productivity and expertise by allowing technicians to help others, avoid costly mistakes and save time with procedure shortcuts provided by other technicians. Users can also create a unique profile, which allows them to be recognized for their contributions.
In addition to tips added “live” by technicians using OnDemand5.com, Mitchell 1’s own in-house team of expert technicians will be actively adding new tips to further help technicians.
