He also moderates and actively contributes to Mitchell 1’s shop management user forum at www.managerforum.net. In addition, McDonnell lends his voice and audio engineering expertise to the training videos included with all Mitchell 1 products.
McDonnell joined Mitchell 1 in 1985 as a technical editor, researching and creating parts interchange for the auto recycling industry. In 1989, he became the first representative for the On-Demand electronic repair information product (which has now been replaced by ProDemand). In 1995, Mitchell 1 launched the new Series I shop management software and McDonnell began supporting that product. Twenty years later, that system has evolved into Manager SE and McDonnell is still actively involved with the product on many levels, including directing training activities and moderating the interactive forum.
