Rislone Engine Oil Supplement with Zinc Treatment (ZDDP) is now super-concentrated. The cost-effective new 11 oz. bottle contains the same amount of engine-protecting ZDDP (zinc dialkyldithiophosphate) as the former 32 oz. package.
Engine oil has changed drastically over the last 30 years. While SF oil formerly had nominal values of zinc and phosphorous in the 1,500 to 1,600 ppm range, today’s SN oil has nominal zinc and phosphorous values of just 600 to 700 ppm. These levels are fine for modern car engines that have been designed with rollers or anti-friction coatings to prevent wear, but they are not sufficient to protect the camshafts, valvetrains and engines of vehicles built prior to 1996 or race cars with engines that have higher spring valve pressures or are not driven daily. These vehicles need the added protection of ZDDP. Adding Rislone 3X Concentrated ZDDP Engine Oil Supplement with Zinc Treatment to regular SN rated motor oil will boost the oil’s zinc and phosphorus levels to between 1,600 and 1,800 ppm.

Rislone 3X Concentrated ZDDP Engine Oil Supplement with Zinc Treatment can be used in gasoline and diesel engines, antique and classic cars, motorcycles, tractors, industrial and agricultural machinery, and all racing applications. It was designed for engines requiring SL/CI rated oil and older, including gasoline engines from 2004 and earlier, and diesel engines from 2006 and earlier. Rislone Engine Oil Supplement works with all petroleum-based motor oils, including conventional, high-mileage and synthetic formulas. For best protection, it should be added at every oil change.
