The Snap-on
line of MicroLithium cordless power tools is further enhanced with the addition
of the new Snap-on 14.4 Volt Cordless Infrared Temperature Gun (CTG761).
“There is
no guesswork when it comes to our new CTG761. Service technicians will get
precise readings to help them make informed decisions when working on engines,”
said Rodger Isetts, product manager for Snap-on. “The MicroLithium battery
gives users 30 hours of continuous use without having to recharge, making the
CTG761 a real ‘must have’ for every tech.”
The new Snap-on 14.4 Volt
Cordless Infrared Temperature Gun (CTG761) features a dual laser pointer that
indicates the edges of the temperature circle, providing a highly accurate
average temperature reading. With a range of minus 58 degrees to 1,832 degrees
Fahrenheit, the CTG761 is exact to plus or minus three degrees and also offers
adjustable emissivity from 0.3 to 1.00. The high contrast large display is
clearly visible, even in bright sunlight. The continuous-on long term record
function enables ‘watching’ temperature changes over a period of time without
pressing the trigger.
Providing
the widest temperature range and most advanced features of any professional gun
on the market, the CTG761 allows the user to detect diagnostic differentials in
temperatures for radiator blockages, brakes, tire and track set ups and others
on the entire vehicle. The built-in microprocessor of the CTG761 will provide
accurate readings for everything from monitoring heating and A/C units to
inspecting exhaust and emission systems, thermostats and engine temperature
sensors. Plus, with the optional K-type probes, the user will have the added
ability to measure highly accurate contact temperatures, which is like
combining two quality products in one.
