NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Kevin Harvick will continue his monthly #ChampionChat social media dialog series Tuesday at 7 p.m. E.T. The spokesperson for Federal-Mogul’s Champion brand of spark plugs, wipers and chemical additives, Harvick finished 18th in Sunday’s Food City 500 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway and will compete in this weekend’s Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway, Fontana, Calif.
The #ChampionChat series enables racing fans and other members of the Champion community to chat live with Harvick via Twitter and TweetChat.com and post video-based questions through the VYou.com conversational video website. The driver of the No. 29 Budweiser Chevrolet will answer questions for a full hour – from 7 to 7:30 p.m. through Twitter and TweetChat.com and from 7:30 to 8 p.m. at VYou.com. To ask a question, log on to TweetChat.com or Federal-Mogul’s @ChampionParts Twitter feed and add the #ChampionChat hashtag to the end of each tweet.
“Our monthly chats give thousands of fans the opportunity to connect with Kevin on a one-to-one basis, and the number of participants grows with each session,” said Federal-Mogul Brand Strategy Manager Jessica Wynn. “Kevin offers a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at cup racing as well as insight to his career and family. He really enjoys these opportunities to connect with fans in this ever-growing community.”
As official Champion spokesperson, Harvick participates in a number of grassroots initiatives designed to connect the brand’s latest “Performance Driven” technologies with a new generation of consumers. Among these is the popular “Search for a Champion” racing sponsorship contest, which this year will award a total of $125,000 to 15 grassroots racers. Voting for the $50,000 grand-prize sponsorship continues through March 24 at www.AlwaysaChampion.com, and Harvick will announce the winner on April 2.
