Repairify and LAUNCH Sign Global Patent Licensing, Supply Agreement

The relationship strengthens and extends the reach of Repairify remote OEM and OEM-compatible diagnostic services.

Repairify, Inc., a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, LLC, announced it has signed a global agreement with Launch Tech Co., Ltd., a global supplier of automotive diagnostic tools and solutions. The agreement licenses Repairify patents to LAUNCH while also establishing Repairify as its preferred service provider.

The agreement enables Repairify to add LAUNCH’s technology, including its SmartLink remote diagnostic system, into its available product offerings. In addition, the agreement will allow Repairify to provide remote OEM and OEM-compatible diagnostic and parts programming services in even more countries.

“We’re excited to enter into this agreement with LAUNCH as it further validates the strength of our patent strategy and allows us to delight more customers around the globe,” said Cris Hollingsworth, president of Repairify Holdings. “With this agreement we are well positioned to expand remote services while continuing to innovate and lead in our additional core areas of diagnostics, calibrations and automotive intelligence.”

LAUNCH has been in operation since 1992 with more than 800 research and development engineers on staff, enabling the company to stay at the forefront of automotive diagnostics hardware.

“In evaluating prospective technology partners, we were highly impressed with the performance and capability of LAUNCH’s products,” said Maurice Tuff, chief technology officer of Repairify. “We are excited to work with a global diagnostic hardware leader as we continue to revolutionize vehicle repair for our customers.”
