VAG-COM is the first aftermarket VAG-Tool that:

 

  • Is fully compatible with all VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda models through 2008, including models using a direct CAN connection for diagnostics;
  • Has a database of more than 9000 fault-codes and measuring-block texts;
  • Can use the new 7-Digit PIN/SKC codes to match new keys in all immobilizer equipped VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda models;
  • Allows you to view, log and graph three groups of Measuring Blocks at once;

This month’s diagnostic journey begins with a 2008 Land Rover Discovery that is taken in to a local testing facility for an emission test and fails due to a series of misfire codes.

Misfire activity is found on cylinders 2, 4, 6, 8 and 3; at first glance this series of codes implies that there may be bank 2 issues, but the cylinder 3 code throws a wrench into that mode of thought.
