Schrader Bridgeport International, Inc. announces the addition of three newly-designed tools to the company’s AirAware TPMS product line:
T-10 Torque Driver (20140)
The T-10 Torque Driver ensures that screws are installed at the recommended torque for proper sealing and secure fitting. Designed for the installation of replacement snap-in valves to Schrader OE TPMS sensors, accurate torquing with the T-10 Torque Driver allows the antenna to efficiently transmit TPMS safety data to the vehicle’s on-board computer.
Valve Core Installation Torque Tool (20141) Engineered to tighten valve cores to OE specifications, the Valve Core Installation Torque Tool helps guard against over or under torquing, and serves as both a core remover and installer. The Valve Core Installation Torque Tool meets Tire and Rim Association (TRA) recommended torque values of 3 to 5 pounds-per-inch on TRC1 valve cores.
Mounting Nut Torque Tool (20142) The Mounting Nut Torque Tool serves as a torque wrench for valve nuts on TPMS installations. With a specified torque range of 30 to 99 pounds-per-inch, the kit includes a torque wrench with ergonomic T-handle design, 11mm and 12mm sockets, and a plastic carrying case.
“Schrader’s new tools are specifically designed for accurate TPMS service,” said David Weber, TPMS product manager for Schrader. “They allow a technician to attain the correct torque specifications and install TPMS valves and hardware with confidence.”
The complete line of Schrader AirAware products includes TPMS systems, components and tools that meet OE quality and performance specifications.
