With Snap-on’s “information with instrumentation” approach to diagnostics, technicians can use the Fast-Track Troubleshooter on their Snap-on MODIS, SOLUS or MT2500 Scanner to consult a database of real-world fixes to uncover the root cause of a problem.
Within Troubleshooter, users will find Fast-Track Data Scan, which quickly validates scanner data of important sensors, normal ranges, current readings and expected values.
“For example, if there is a MAP sensor code, simply drill down in Fast-Track Data Scan and open the MAP sensor page,” said Chris Hockett, technical marketing specialist, Snap-on Diagnostics. “There, you will find an explanation of how it works, what your readings should be, and what your actual readings are for comparison.”
