Stage 8, an active mechanical locking systems manufacturer,
announces the availability of a 42mm X-Lock for the 1984-1989 Toyota 4Runner and 1979-1989 Toyota
pickups with 30-spline axles.
The X-Lock, by Stage 8, is a
locking spindle nut system that replaces the outdated and difficult to adjust
bent tab system. X-Lock
withstands up to 450 foot-pounds of reverse torque and is lockable in any
position so you never over/under torque. This ensures that proper pre-load is
maintained. The X-Lock is reusable, constructed out of 4130 chromoly steel
(CRMO) and through-hardened for superior performance and life-long
dependability.
“These model
Toyotas are hard working vehicles,” commented Robert Ahern, director at Stage
8. “They make demands on all of their parts. That’s why Stage 8 has stepped up
with its newest member of the X-Lock
family, the XMT-30 specifically for these vehicles.”
Stage 8 manufacturers many types of active,
fail-safe mechanical locking fasteners including locking
header bolts. The simple design and robust materials belie the
engineering that goes into making certain that whatever you tighten stays that
way.
