Tech Tip: Honda Heater Blows Cold Air, A/C Blows Warm Air

Got a vehicle in your shop that blows cold air from the heater or warm air from the A/C? The problem could be that the heater valve cable has slipped off the heater valve arm. This applies to any A/C-equipped Honda model that uses a heater valve cable.

Got a vehicle in your shop that blows cold air from the heater or warm air from the A/C? The problem could be that the heater valve cable has slipped off the heater valve arm. This applies to any A/C-equipped Honda model that uses a heater valve cable.

To correct the problem, slip the heater valve cable back onto the heater valve arm. Then cut a 10 mm length of 3.5 mm vacuum hose and slide it onto the arm. This holds the cable on the arm so it won’t slip off. See Fig. 1.
