What could be better than a few sunny, warm days in Texas? How about a few sunny, warm days in Dallas? That was our destination for the 2023 Mac Tool Fair, which lived up to its name for pedal-to-the-metal equipment and tools, highlighting their latest innovations and technology designed for the professional auto technician.
Located at the Gaylord Texan resort, you didn’t have to leave the property to get a real taste of Texas, so the venue was not to disappoint, and the show was on par and as exciting as it has always been.
An impressive display of Macsimizer toolboxes showcased a number of great color combinations, and check out the Macsimizer Titan! They said everything was bigger in Texas! For motorsports fans, there were a couple race cars on the floor, and even a toolbox with racecar graphics.
Among many of the new tools showcased at the show were Mac’s new wrenches featuring RBRT technology, their new line of scan tools, and their new 5 amp-hour DeWalt Powerstack battery. This was a great tool fair for the books! And then, we were on to San Antonio!
Located at the Henry B. González Convention Center, Matco Tools hosted the Matco Tools Expo in San Antonio, Texas, home of the Alamo. Matco’s line of tools and equipment for the professional technician continues to grow year after year.
At the show, distributors were given the opportunity to see the latest tools and innovations exhibitors had to offer. They were also able to be hands on with the tools and equipment.
Attendee traffic remained steady during the duration of the show, with an estimated over 1,200 guests in attendance. Exhibitors and attendees carried conversations throughout the show floor.
“The show was just tremendous. With over 1,200 Distributors, it was one of our highest attended yet. There was a lot of excitement around the addition of Milwaukee, and both their training session and impressive showfloor booth were both very well received,” said Bryan Kaufman, marketing communications manager for Matco Tools. “The diagnostic training was also very well attended, and there was a lot of interest from our Distributors in the Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) demo on the showfloor. Our new partnership with Bumpboxx was a hot topic as well, with the Matco Exclusive Soundbar generating a lot of buzz. The Matco Tools App was a hot topic again this year, as more and more Distributors and their customers are using this industry first digital marketing tool,” Kaufman added.
The center of the show floor featured a wide variety of Matco Toolboxes, ranging in all different sizes. The show floor also featured two new products showcases, highlighting the newest and most advanced tools that Matco has to offer.
Both events served to be an excellent way for the tool and equipment industry to meet and share the latest innovations for the automotive technician.
