The AMMCO 4000B-SP Brake Lathe Features One-Pass Machining

The AMMCO 4000B-SP brake lathe from Hennessy Industries is designed for speed, enabling busy shops to turn standard work quicker and easier. Using single-speed spindle and feed rates, it efficiently cuts rotors in one pass, with a high-quality finish.

The AMMCO 4000B-SP brake lathe from Hennessy Industries is designed for speed, enabling busy shops to turn standard work quicker and easier. Using single-speed spindle and feed rates, it efficiently cuts rotors in one pass, with a high-quality finish.

The 4000B-SP brake lathe is a simplified precision tool that converts from drums to rotors in less than 30 seconds. The twin cutter tool simultaneously resurfaces both sides of a rotor and cuts to one-thousandth of an inch to meet the demands of today’s more sensitive vehicles. In addition, one-pass machining with positive rake tool bits create precision machined surfaces every time.

The 4000B-SP features a 44-pound spindle, extra large bronze bearings with a constant oil feed and larger drive gear that provide durability and help reduce wear. Keefe added that many AMMCO 4000s are still in service after 40 years of continuous use.
