Video Series Makes Techs & Shop Owners Stars of the Show

A new original digital video series has launched, spotlighting some of the industry's finest shop owners and technicians.

TechShop has partnered with our sister publication, Shop Owner, for an exciting new project. We’ve launched “Auto Pros on the Road,” a long-form video series that presents our team members on location throughout the country at the shops on the front line of the automotive aftermarket.

This brand-new, original digital video series launched in September and the first season spotlights five automotive repair shops and their owners and technicians — four from Kentucky: Fleet Doc in Lexington; Pruitt’s Automotive, Street & Strip Performance and Turning Wrenches in Louisville; and Byrne’s Garage in New Albany, IN.
Auto Pros on the Road brings viewers a glimpse into the daily business of auto repair shops and the people who keep the nation’s drivers on the road.

In Episode 1, the Auto Pros talk with Jim Bryant, the owner of Fleet Doc, about the importance of having a positive work environment and appreciating his employees and treating them with respect. Many of the team members have been at Fleet Doc since Bryant opened the business in 2014.

When I asked one of our team members, Joe Keene, about his experiences “on the road” visiting the shops, he lit up when he talked about the staff at Fleet Doc.

“I love hearing the stories of real shop owners and technicians,” Keene said, “Meeting Jim and his staff was exactly what we were looking for with Auto Pros on the Road. I want to bring awareness to these shops and how they help the community all the while dispelling negative connotations regarding the automotive industry. Jim and his crew serve their community with pride and truly care about their work and their customers.”

New episodes will be available monthly.
