For some ADAS calibrations, the challenges aren’t in the calibrations themselves, but in the details of preparing for them.
As Babcox Media’s Joe Keene shows for this forward-facing camera calibration following a windshield replacement on a Stellantis vehicle, the procedure itself requires little more than driving. But first the technician will need to perform a few necessary tasks, such as ensuring a completed FCA registration. Additionally, prior to driving the vehicle, the technician must select a route that avoids stopping, which will negate the calibration in progress. Internet access must also be maintained throughout the procedure.
As Joe says, “See how you do it before you do it.” The step-by-step onscreen guidance of ADASLink ensures no steps are missed, eliminating guesswork and providing a precise and thoroughly documented calibration for more than 25 million vehicles.
