You’ve pulled the vehicle’s codes and know whether it has been set by a continuous or non-continuous monitor —and now you need to apply that to your repair process. If you just erase the code, pull the car out of the bay and back into the parking lot, just hoping the code won’t return, you could be looking at a comeback at best. Sometimes a monitor takes three key cycles to set.
Make sure your diagnostic tool has the information you need to reset the monitor, then on your test drive, make sure your repair is confirmed.
