RTI Technologies, a Bosch Group Company, introduces the first
independently certified J2788H “high voltage addendum” A/C service machine to address
the challenges of back-to-back A/C servicing between hybrid/electric and
conventionally powered automobiles.
Compared to SAE J2788 non-addendum certified machines, the
ArcticPRO RHS 980H was specifically engineered to service either automobiles equipped
with high-voltage electric drive A/C compressor systems or conventional drive
compressor systems without compromising vehicle function and technician safety.
The J2788 high-voltage addendum certification is critical because it ensures
the A/C service technician will be able to properly service both hybrid and
non-hybrid vehicles without fear of compromising vehicle safety systems from
oil contamination. The SAE J2788 H addendum specifically mandates the absence of on-board oil
injection and the inclusion of a service hoses flush feature
to prevent system oil cross contamination greater than 1000 PPM between
services on certified equipment.
The RHS 980H now joins the RHS 980 and RHS 980C in RTI’s ArcticPRO line of
A/C service equipment. The RHS 980 is industry known for superior A/C service performance,
functionality and customization capability and the RHS 980C builds upon
this by adding an integrated printer, micron vacuum sensor, relative humidity sensor
and temperature probes to give it total vehicle A/C system predictive performance
and full-diagnostics capability.
