The Chicago Pneumatic CP872 aluminum die grinder is designed for applications like chamfering, weld seam or rust removal on frames and body panels. The CP872 series features a powerful 0.6 hp motor.
The 27,000-rpm (+23% vs previous generation) motor provides a high material removal rate, reducing the time necessary to complete your job, says the company.
Designed for mounted points and carbide burrs on 1/4” and 6mm shanks, the series offers a versatility to best suit your application needs, and an air regulator to adjust speed.
The high durability and the unique design of Chicago Pneumatic’s tools provide 500 hours of use between maintenance. As such, the tool’s long service life enables reduced maintenance costs and improved uptime, so you can perform your work more quickly and easily.
Its compact and robust 6.6” long body weights 1.2 lb. and is built to resist, while the CP streamline safety lever offers improved operator comfort and therefore better ergonomics. The sturdy grinder body is manufactured from aluminum, while its safety lever is made of steel.
“When redesigning our CP872 standard die grinder, we had in mind the increase in power, but overall efficiency was our primary target, in order to make the best use of compressed air resource in workshops,” says Lucas Bryk, global product marketing manager at Chicago Pneumatic tools. “That is why we optimized it by increasing the power by 56% up to 0.6hp, while reducing at the same time the air consumption by 21%. All in all, this means you can work faster and easier, while saving on the compressed air cost.”
The CP872 can be equipped with a silencer overhose (CP872K version, which allows to damp the noise as low as 79.5 dB(A) improving operator comfort.
