Tired of sending out repairs for European makes? Snap-on’s new European software provides some of the most comprehensive coverage for Volkswagen and Audi, and fast answers to tough questions for BMW, Mini and Mercedes-Benz.

European software from Snap-on not only includes new coverage back to 1997 and 2009 model year updates, but it also offers all the enhancements from previous upgrades. Some highlights of Snap-on’s European coverage include:
VW / Audi
• VW Passat & Audi vehicles equipped with the Parking Brake Module, Snap-on provides the functionality for Rear Brake Pad replacement procedure, which opens the rear brake calipers for brake service and then closes the rear calipers after repairs.
• Audi Start Authorization coverage supplies inputs to the Power Train Control Module (PCM) to initiate authorization. Without the inputs the vehicle will not start. These include status from security, voltages and more.
• Audi Central Control Unit coverage expands the amount of data you can see for input status monitoring.
• VW Diesel Dynamic Pump Timing reduces the time required to change a timing belt or diesel pump and provides a precise final adjustment. The final adjustment provides the optimum power, reduces exhaust smoke and provides better start-up characteristics.
• VW ABS Brake Bleed Capability does double duty as it is also required when replacing the ABS pump or when you want to flush the system.
• VW Passat Key Fob Resynchronization is a money maker that can add or resynchronize 2005 – 2009 Passat key fobs. This function is used when a user wants to add another key fob or perform resynchronization when required.
BMW / Mini
• BMW Transmission Adaptations performs resets and eliminates the need for drive cycles to relearn control modules without the factory tool.
• BMW Steering Angle Sensor helps you complete alignments for BMW 3 Series and
5 Series vehicles.
• BMW Battery Management coverage allows adaptive battery charging strategy that learns the defective battery over time. At replacement, this resets the charging strategy to reduce chances of overcharging.
• BMW/Mini ABS offers live ABS data, reducing the need to send repairs out.
• VW/Audi Tire Pressure Monitor System tests detect faults in the system and retrieve the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). With this coverage you can perform tire replacement and other capabilities with just one diagnostic tool.
Mercedes-Benz
• Mercedes-Benz Sensotronic Brake coverage reduces complexity and helps to prevents injury. There is a serious risk of injury if Mercedes-Benz Sensotronic brakes are serviced without complying with the service procedure instructions. Current Snap-on scan tool software meets the need with coverage that provides both the deactivation function that prevents the Sensotronic self-test and the reactivation function after the brakes are repaired.
• Mercedes-Benz Diagnostics Service Reset offers service indicator light reset through the PCM. This is required of any shop for performing a simple oil change. Snap-on offers the same capability for all BMW 7 Series, too.
• Mercedes-Benz Engine and Instrument Panel coverage helps shops reduce diagnostics time with new abilities to command engine components and instrument panel cluster components. It gives them the ability to diagnose components and actuators, fuel gauges, speedometer complaints and more.
