Federal-Mogul Expands Product Information and Data Available Through FMe-cat.com Web Catalog

Federal-Mogul has announced that its FMe-cat.com electronic catalog now offers significantly more value-added data - including product specifications, images, buyer's guide information and more - through each part lookup. According to Federal-Mogul, the additional content is expected to further accelerate the growth of the comprehensive eCatalog, which logged approximately 11 million lookups in 2011 and now attracts more than 10,000 unique visitors each business day.

Federal-Mogul has announced that its FMe-cat.com electronic catalog now offers significantly more value-added data – including product specifications, images, buyer’s guide information and more – through each part lookup. According to Federal-Mogul, the additional content is expected to further accelerate the growth of the comprehensive eCatalog, which logged approximately 11 million lookups in 2011 and now attracts more than 10,000 unique visitors each business day.

“Our expanded content adds a great deal of value to every lookup. Now the user can not only find the right part for millions of applications, but also immediately access a wide range of additional information, including detailed product features, photos, videos and technical documents,” said Brent Berman, manager of digital marketing and e-data, North America, Federal-Mogul.

The new content is embedded within the “Part Detail” screen of each lookup, enabling the user to access product features and benefits, key attributes and specifications needed to correctly select the right part, vehicle/equipment fitment data, product images presented in a “carousel” format, and links to videos, related websites and downloadable documents. Users can also instantly share the information via email, printer or social media platform.

Another enhancement is a new survey feature to accelerate resolution of any issues and direct user feedback to the appropriate product team. FMe-cat.com includes the latest application and technical information covering millions of parts for automotive, commercial vehicle, agricultural, industrial, marine, small-engine and other uses.

Federal-Mogul brands and product lines covered include ANCO wipers; Carter fuel delivery products; Champion spark plugs, filters and performance chemicals; Fel-Pro gaskets; FP Diesel engine products; MOOG steering and suspension components; National seals and bearings; Sealed Power engine parts; Speed-Pro performance engine components; Wagner brake products; and Wagner lighting products.

The catalog’s comprehensive interchange and numerical lookup tools help users identify the correct part even when they don’t have complete application information, Federal-Mogul says. An integrated “Technical Resources” link provides hundreds of tech tips, bulletins and videos as well as lookup tools covering torque, engine and part number specifications. The site also includes interactive calculators for determining capacities and dimensions, engine displacement, horsepower, torque and compression ratio.

Users who still prefer paper catalog formats can use the FMe-cat.com site to “flip” through electronic versions of each of Federal-Mogul’s most recent print volumes. These digital catalogs are even mounted on a virtual catalog rack that allows the user to view up to two pages at a time as they flip back and forth.

FMe-cat.com is integrated with Federal-Mogul’s e360 electronic customer information system as well as the company’s ANCOwipers.com, Carterfueldelivery.com, FelPro-only.com, SealedPowerpistons.com, TQbrakepads.com and AlwaysaChampion.com brand websites.
