Bosch has released its latest reprogramming device – the Mastertech II vehicle communication interface (VCI) (#MTECH2). Designed and assembled in the United States by the leading J2534 VCI manufacturer for more than 30 years, the Mastertech II VCI is a J2534-1 and J2534-2 compliant VCI for OEM reprogramming and diagnostic applications.
To support technicians with a broad range of coverage spanning both foreign and domestic vehicles, the newest Mastertech tool is fully validated to operate with the top six OEM reprogramming applications: GM, Ford, FCA, Nissan/Infinity, Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus.
Following Bosch’s mission to offer quality and reliable products, the Mastertech II VCI is intended to be compatible with future OE communications requirements, providing technicians with a long-lasting, reliable tool. In addition, the pre-configured wireless and wired connections, including WIFI, Ethernet and two USB A connectors, make it quick and easy to connect to a vehicle directly from your PC.
Ruggedly designed for the shop, the Mastertech II VCI is environmentally sealed with an IP54 rating, protecting it from dust and water spray. Finally, the reprogramming device supports D-PDU API, the program for accessing a VCI, and is required for GM Tech2Win and Right to Repair initiatives.
The new Mastertech II VCI is available now through Bosch Aftermarket distribution partners and resellers.
