ACDelco Illustrated Catalog Available Through Epicor LaserCat 3 Interface

The new ACDelco illustrated catalog of replacement components for millions of GM vehicles is now available to select aftermarket wholesalers and retailers through the Epicor LaserCat 3 electronic catalog interface.

The new ACDelco illustrated catalog of replacement components for millions of GM vehicles is now available to select aftermarket wholesalers and retailers through the Epicor LaserCat 3 electronic catalog interface. Designed to be highly user-friendly, the ACDelco Illustrated Catalog significantly streamlines lookups through advanced, interactive displays of vehicle systems and corresponding parts for 1992 through current model year GM vehicles, according to the company. The displays can be integrated with the user’s inventory for immediate identification of available parts and corresponding prices.

ACDelco distributors will be able to use an optional button in their Epicor LaserCat 3 interface to access the ACDelco Illustrated Catalog. Users whose LaserCat 3 interface is integrated with their business management software can instantly transfer available ACDelco parts to their point-of-sale screen for invoicing purposes, according to Epicor.

“The Illustrated Catalog is designed to drive efficiency and accuracy at the parts counter,” said Stephen Sigg, eBusiness manager, GM Customer Care and Aftersales. “By integrating this resource into the all-makes Epicor LaserCat 3 interface, our channel partners can empower their front-line employees to increase sales and customer satisfaction.”

When users look up a GM application in the ACDelco Illustrated Catalog, they are prompted to select a vehicle system and subsystem. After identifying any specific conditions for the application, the user is presented with a detailed system illustration from GM engineering data of each available part within the subsystem. By hovering over a part in the display, the user can access key product information – including pricing and availability – in an adjacent column. Parts available for ordering can be moved into a cart that is automatically transferred to the LaserCat 3 interface.

“Today, catalog lookups can sometimes be as complex as the vehicles,” said Phillip Hooge, information systems manager for Full Service Auto Parts, an ACDelco Dedicated Distribution Group (DDG) business based in San Antonio, Texas. “The first-to-market integration of the ACDelco OE illustrated catalog into Epicor systems has addressed these complexities for GM vehicles head-on.”
