Matco Tools Introduces the PRO1000 Easy-To-Use Borescope

Matco Tools' new PRO1000 borescope features a 5.5 mm camera head that has an 8x zoom and gets into tight spots without teardowns, saving up to 90% of the cost of warranty repair evaluations.*

Besides
having the smallest camera on the market, the PRO100 is also easy to operate
requiring only one hand to shoot photos, video, audio and toggle back and forth
between live and still images or projects. PRO1000 is lightweight, ergonomic,
and has just four buttons to run everything from a simple 3.5-inch on-screen
display, also one of the largest on the market to see the small details clearly
for faster problem diagnosis.

To
develop the PRO1000, Matco went straight to technicians, shop owners, and
service managers to understand their challenges in order to create a real
solution. “We found that our technicians and shop owners are looking for a borescope
that can solve the ever-increasing warranty documentation needs. As cars become
more complex, so do associated warranty claims. We developed a product that
solves these issues with a built-in image organization system that truly
separates us from the competition,” said John Green, vice president of marketing
for Matco Tools.

PRO1000
features an image management system that allows technicians to not only shoot
stills, but also freeze and compare images and live shots, and then store them
in project folders to organize multiple jobs. Users can also shoot photos in
rapid succession to document a problem as it happens, add a voice memo to an
image and record video.

In
addition to standard photo and video capabilities, Matco’s PRO1000 can connect
directly to a TV to present needed or completed work to customers or document
warranty repairs and insurance claims.

“At Matco Tools, we aim to develop products that will save our
technicians, shop owners, and service managers time and increase their
profitability,” Green said. “With so many features and an intuitive easy to use design,
this truly is a time save—and money maker—for technicians, shop owners, and service managers.”

Matco’s new PRO1000
borescope is available in August through Matco Tools distributors with a
suggested retail of $849.99. To locate a distributor in your area, call
