Bolt On Technology Unveils Its Most Advanced Mobile Automotive Software Solution

In addition to enabling repair shop techs to take and text vehicle photos to customers, conduct digital multi-point vehicle inspections as well as a myriad of other functions - Mobile Manager Pro now comes fully equipped with the ability to create customized multi-point inspection forms.

Bolt-onGreater Philadelphia-based Bolt On Technology has put the pedal to the metal in stepping up the many capabilities of its most popular automotive software solution, Mobile Manager Pro. Since its release last fall, the software system has fueled greater efficiency and increased profits for hundreds of auto repair shops, according to the company.

The company’s signature solution — in addition to enabling repair shop techs to take and text vehicle photos to customers, conduct digital multi-point vehicle inspections as well as a myriad of other functions — now comes fully equipped with the ability to create customized multi-point inspection forms.

“We have always positioned ourselves at the forefront of integration with shop management software,” Bolt On Technology founder and CTO Mike Risich said. “We will never stop in our quest for relentless innovation.”

To that end, Mobile Manager Pro’s most recent update features color-coded auto pre-canned technician notes and offers choices between quick or more comprehensive vehicle inspections.

Since the game-changing software solution hit the market, hundreds of shops have realized greater efficiency through dramatically improved customer approval times — from the national average of one hour and 17 minutes to a mere 37 minutes. The tablet or mobile device-powered program, with its ability to seamlessly submit via text or email a customer’s repair order or inspection report, along with photos illustrating needed repairs, makes the customer response process quicker and easier.

Shops are taking more than 4,000 vehicle condition photos per week as part of their digital multi-point inspection process. The images, along with more detailed inspection reports, are helping auto repair businesses to see average repair order increases of 30-60%, or, in some cases, as much as 100%. In some instances, independently owned shops have realized as much as $25,000 per month in higher profits, according to the company.

The Mobile Manager suite of software solutions enables shops to advance schedule maintenance appointments based on customers’ driving habits, mileage milestones and vehicle age; text appointment reminders; create by-the-job customer invoicing; customized reports; and more. All of these features are fully integrated with shop management systems.

In addition to faster approvals and higher profits, repair shop staffs are becoming more efficient by ditching handwritten forms in favor of time-saving digital forms that integrate automatically with existing shop management systems. This feature also eliminates the need to re-enter customer information and helps to bolster accuracy of customer and vehicle information.

With Mobile Manager Pro, shop personnel can meet customers at their vehicles to begin the repair order process. The software’s built-in VIN scanner instantly populates the year, make, model, engine type, past service history and account details fields on the tablet and mobile device. Eliminating the need to fill out these fields saves time, increases accuracy and steps up productivity, enabling shops to service more vehicles on any given day. For shops servicing an average of 10 vehicles a day as much as an hour and a half can be saved daily.
