SAN ANTONIO — A local woman says her car was stolen from an auto repair shop, and she’s been left without a vehicle or any money to get another one.

Leah Mancilla said she’d been taking her Honda Civic to Import Performance Specialists for repairs. Mancilla said she dropped of her car in early August for the final time. Several weeks later, Mancilla received a call she never expected.

"I got bad news for you. Your car is gone, " recalled Mancilla.

The single mom’s car was stolen out of a back parking lot the repair shop shares with other shops on the property.  The owner of Import Performance Specialists, Sean Rush, said he’s owned the shop for five years and never once has one of his clients cars been stolen.

"I’m sorry it happened," Rush told us. But, I mean, it’s not my fault. You know?"

Rush went on to say Mancilla’s car wasn’t the only one targeted that August night.
