Mechatronics Engineering Launches New Wheel Balancing Line in North America

Mechatronics Engineering has announced the official North American launch of its exclusive new and patented advanced balancing technology called SPBU, which stands for "self-propelled
 balancing unit."

Mechatronics Engineering has announced the official North American launch of its exclusive new and patented advanced balancing technology called SPBU, which stands for “self-propelled
 balancing unit.”

The SPBU eliminates all external A/C or D/C motors, direct drive A/C motors, gears, power management boards, pulleys, spindles, drive-belts, wheel brake systems (using resistors or other methods) and complex wiring systems. The absence of these components eliminate all maintenance issues for owners and operators of wheel balancers equipped with the SPBU, according to the company, since it incorporates proprietary technologies that allow for “extremely fast floor-to-floor” times for any balance.

The SPBU is only available in Librauto models. A standard feature in all Librauto wheel balancers, aside from the SPBU, is the wheel placement accuracy of +/- .035° found only today’s most expensive units, the company says. Most inexpensive imported models are set +/- 2.8°, according to Mechatronics, increasing user operating costs by using more wheel weights than actually required.

Mechatronics says Librauto challenges, with both price and technology, all inexpensive balancers sold by well-known Internet importers as well as the most expensive units marketed by the world’s best-known brands.
