Associated Equipment Corporation (AEC) announces a new and improved line of portable automotive smart bench chargers under the ATEC brand.

“Our new smart bench charger line is capable of charging all battery types, including AGM and gel to provide a more competitive product for today’s market,” stated Kimberly Cottle, president and CEO of Associated Equipment.

There are three new ATEC 6/12V smart charger models: 3055A, 3075A and 3100A. All three models feature automatic bad battery detection, engine start and an LED digital display indicating charging voltage, amperage, charge time and countdown for start function. The three new models will be available in March 2016.

“Over 20 million vehicles are equipped with AGM batteries, making a greater need for smart chargers throughout the aftermarket, said Gary Mackey, vice president of global sales & marketing. “Associated has pioneered AGM charging technology since introducing our first Intellamatic charger in 1999.”
