Bilstein introduces a new line of Motorsports Tools designed for shock tuners and race teams that perform their own maintenance, repair and tuning of Bilstein dampers.

Created to make servicing Bilstein’s take-apart and rebuildable products quicker and easier, the seven new tool offerings include a Rod Guide Removal Plate, Spherical Bearing Insert Tool, Nitrogen Fill Tool Assembly, Multi-Wrench, Rod Guide Insert Tool, 46mm Tube Plug and a Damper Vice Assembly.

Rod Guide Removal Plate – (E4-MTL-0002A00)
The Bilstein Rod Guide Removal Plate makes removing rod guides from take-apart and racer-rebuildable shocks faster and easier. The plate securely mounts on 46mm BILSTEIN motorsports tubes and allows full rod guide removal with the tool in place. The plate has an inside diameter machined to seat directly on the damper tube lip. It has a recessed relief sections on upper ID and is made of billet aluminum with blue anodizing slot for piston shaft.

Spherical Bearing Insert Tool – (E4-MTL-0003A00)
The Bilstein Spherical Bearing Insert Tool properly aligns the spherical bearing (heim) and eyelet for easier bearing installation. The tool works with aluminum customer-rebuildable and take-apart applications (AS2, XVA), and is specifically designed to mate and secure both eyelet and bearing for proper alignment during installation.

Nitrogen Fill Tool Assembly – (E4-MTL-0005A00)
The Bilstein Nitrogen Fill Tool Assembly is used for charging customer-serviceable and take-apart dampers with nitrogen during servicing. It works with all customer-serviceable/take-apart Bilstein products including, but not limited to, AS2, SN2, SNS2, SNS3, XVA, XVS and MDS. It is lightweight and easy to install and operate. The assembly has a nitrogen actuation valve with knurled knob that controls nitrogen flow between the shock and tool manifold, allowing the user to open the valve when pressurizing and close it when connecting/disconnecting to prevent pressure loss.

Multi-Wrench – (TL-0008A00)
The Bilstein Multi-Wrench combines four common tools used for the assembly and disassembly of customer-rebuildable dampers into a single unit. The Multi-Wrench fits all customer-serviceable/take-apart Bilstein products including, but not limited to, AS2, SN2, SNS2, SNS3, XVA, XVS and MDS. A slim, durable design makes it lightweight and comfortable to use. The wrench features an anodized billet aluminum body, jam nut spanner wrench (XVA), 13mm and 17mm boxed wrench and two-pin spanner wrench (XVA, AS2).

Rod Guide Insert Tool – (TL-0009A00)
The Bilstein Rod Guide Insert Tool is an extension tool that provides a safe method of installing/seating rod guide assemblies during damper service. The tool allows the installer to fully seat the rod guide assembly in the damper body without damaging the guide or the tube opening, and fits all customer-serviceable/take-apart 46mm Bilstein products.

46mm Tube Plug –(E4-MTL-0006A00)
The Bilstein 46mm Tube Plug is designed to prevent damper tube damage that can occur during installation and removal of the end cap. The anodized billet aluminum plug installs on the rod guide end of the tube and provides internal support while using a tube wrench to remove or install the end cap assembly.

Damper Vice Assembly – (E4-MTL-0004A00)
The Bilstein Damper Vice Assembly is a task-specific vice created to properly and securely hold damper assemblies during service. The anodized billet assembly with two-piece stand offers a versatile, compact design that can be mounted as a standalone vice or secured in a bench vise. Simple to install, it keeps the workbench organized.
